I am a DevOps engineer that works for the stock exchange. Most would think that a computer engineer and racing don’t go together but my love for racing is deeply rooted in my soul. I started attending the I-35 Speedway around the age of 12 and I always wanted to participate in the sport and was going to at age 16 until my older brother had an incident at the track which forced me to be denied parental permission to race. Since I wasn’t able to race I sort of gave up on the sport and went to college to obtain my masters and for a few years stopped going to the track completely. That was up until a recent trip to Colorado where I took a few laps on some electric go karts and all of my childhood dreams came rushing back to me as I took the fastest lap time. The adrenaline rush that ensued was too much to bear and I ended up at the I-35 Speedway that following Saturday night. After my first night back at the track I quickly realized I had to have more and I purchased a USRA Stock Car roller the next day. I had no idea how to put it together but over the last few months I have been able to piece it together through the help of a close friend I am thrilled to begin my racing career in the 2019 season at the place where it all started, I-35 Speedway. The title of my bio is “demi –dad” and it comes to me from the three kids that I am so lucky to have. As with any kid’s these days they love to watch movies and one of their favorite movies is Moana and I have the kids convinced that I have power over the wind and sea therefore my nickname is the “demi-dad”.
