About Jered

In 2001, Jered began racing Quarter Midgets on dirt at age 6. The next year, in 2002, he won his first feature race at the season finale. In 2003 he moved to California and raced twice at the famous Madera QM asphalt track, where he picked up a heat win and 3rd place run. After moving back to Colorado, he racked up 8 wins and two championships in 2004 and 2005.

In 2006 he moved up to 600cc Micro Sprints for two races and finished 2nd in his first start! In 2007 he mixed asphalt and dirt with the Micro Sprint where he collected 5 heat wins and a trophy dash win, but had multiple feature wins slip away due to mechanical issues in closing laps.

In 2008, Jered made the move up to full size Stock Cars at age 13 where he raced at I-76 Speedway. That season he collected 3 top five finishes including a 5th place run in his first start out of 30 cars. Jered also finished 5th at the Fall special out of 35 cars.

After missing the 2009 season due to finances, he showed in the top division of Dirt Late Models in 2010! He won a heat in his 6th start and swept the heat and feature in his 7th start! He ended the season with 4 heat wins, a feature win, and 2nd in points for his Rookie year. 2011 and 2012 consisted of 10 races each season and appearances at the Showdown in Jetmore, Kansas. This race brought in top notch drivers from all over the country with paying $12,000 to win! He was able to make the show in 2012 at this large race. 2013 was a short-lived season as an engine failure occurred at the fourth race.

For 2015 and 2016 Jered was a crew chief for mentor and friend, Danny Concelman, in the Sport Mod division. The team racked up 13 wins in 50 races and won the BST Championship in 2015.

In 2016 Jered returned to the race seat at season end in an IMCA modified for the Fall Classic. He was able to make the Main Event to start 12th out of 30 cars but did not finish. In December he got 4th in a Winter Series race.

In 2017, Jered ran his rookie season in the Modified where he competed at I-76 Speedway as well as Fairgrounds Speedway in Cortez, CO. The first part of the season went smoothly, but the last half of the season was plagued with bad luck and he ended the season sooner than expected. For 2018, Jered upgraded his equipment but was set back with medical issues. He only made one start, which came at Raceway Park in South Dakota. 2019 was another short season in Colorado as he only made two starts and they both resulted in DNFs due to crashes.

In 2020 Jered decided to switch over to the Dwarf Car division where he had a lot of fun and experienced good success competing against 20-35 cars a night. In 12 starts he picked up a Feature win and never ran outside the top 4 besides a few DNFs. He was also able to pick up the Winter Series Championship with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places finishes.

Jered sat out 2021 and 2022 due to finances and health issues.
