*In what turned out to be a fantastic starting point for a massive event in the future, 81 Speedway, TM Fencing LLC, and the Stoner family emerged victorious. Despite other race tracks in the area battling Mother Nature, in a miraculous turn of events, Arnold Stoner must have been looking down stopping the rain! It missed the speedway and allowed the event to proceed.

  • To get things started, let’s thank the supporters of the event: Tane with TM Fencing LLC, The Stoner family, all entries, fans, and supporters. The speedway and several supporters met shortly after the race was over and already started planning the next one. Many people came forward and have ideas, support, and sponsorship for the next Arnold Stoner Stock Cars and Guitars! Look for details plenty in advance. Also, thank you to the Lap Sponsors; it sure made 9th place worth racing for!
  • We will start off with the Treasure Hunt Estate Sales Mini Stock/Tuner class. Number one : we all have young driver Erin Ozbun in our prayers for fast healing as she went for a ride on the last lap on the backstretch in a rollover. A quote from her dad was “she will be in a back brace for 6 weeks, so we are expecting she will be back in about 8 weeks that way we can get her a new car and get it built”. See ya soon! For several weeks in a row, this class has been getting faster and more competitive! With a mini-guitar on the line, extra money from Logan’s Landscape and Tree Service, the racers were on their game. It was the 3 car of Joseph Jaeger leading the first 9 laps, and after controversial contact from the 33 of Karson Keeler, he careened into the turn four wall, ending his chances again. Watching the video, it appeared Karson drove hard into turn three, getting below the 3 car until the Jaeger car appeared to also turn down, causing him to dart toward the wall. Hard racing … dirty… you decide from the stands! Facebook warriors won’t get ya far. We hope his car gets fixed as they have been battling all season and putting on a show. Keeler on to win playing a tune in victory lane. Dan Canady 2nd and always there Ken Hapy home in 3rd.
  • In the Allied Battery Stock Cars, we had a special show in store. With many of the Stoner Family in attendance and TM Fencing LLC and guests watching , the speedway did have to rush a bit and skip a few items we had planned. (I’ll keep that hidden for next season.) Thank you, stock car teams, for attending. Please share your experience and help get more cars involved. We want to make this a memorable event that many circle on the calendar for years to come. It was an all-Kemp from row to get rolling, but an early slip from Kendall sent him to the rear. It was a great race from 2nd back because Kyle Vanover hit his marks every one of the 30 laps on his first-ever visit to the speedway. Vanover was ecstatic in Oreilly VL, thanking the event sponsor, the Stoner family, and was signing autographs while making sure he received that bad-ass guitar and the case to carry it home in! Hesston Shaw jumped up 6 spots to take home 2nd. Beau Davis climbed the ladder up 9 spots for 3rd. B-feature winner Tanner Thiel drove up 9 spots also to grab 4th, and after a rough start in hot laps, Justin Franz was solid in 5th.
  • The concert stage was being built 5 minutes after the checkered flag dropped. If you brought your car, crew ,or yourself to come hang out and listen to great music and have a great time, thank you!! That is what it’s all about. Harrison Steele played great music. Fan interaction, drivers talking to drivers, officials, and family! Fun!
