*What a special night this past Saturday as the bright Sturgeon Moon hung in the sky and the Dirt Crown series stock cars joined us for racing action.

*We want to thank Tane from TM Fencing LLC. Without his vision and passion for the sport, an event like this could not happen. Racers and fans alike, please use them for all your fencing needs!!

*B-Dominating: Poorman Auto Supply USRA B-Mods took to the newly re-prepped race surface. With record temperatures and high winds all day, the track crew wanted to get the track in good shape for the features. As the B-Mods took the green, the bottom proved to be a bit slimy as they careened into turn one. They stayed in line until lap 6 when, in normal Kidwell fashion, he found a way to dive to the lead. The battle heated up for spots 2-5 with 5 laps to go. Slade Mohr was inching his way to the front, passing cars to slide into second place. K.C. Mullin 3rd, Jon Sheets 4th, and “too slick” Josh Lanterman rounding out the top 5.

*Crown Him: The Main Event was the Allied Battery stock cars racing along the Dirt Crown series sponsored by the aforementioned TM Fencing LLC. The racing surface was fast and showed to have multiple lanes of racing from the drop of the green! The night provided some of the best racing all season, and the field was stacked with wily old veterans and fast youngsters alike. Racing two and three wide all around the track provided the fans with an eyeful of action to keep up with. 6th starting Jayce Reimer wasted zero time testing the top groove and bolted around the field, nabbing the top spot on lap three. The pole sitter, Clint Smith, was locked into battle within the top 8 all night, but the spots were not easy to gain as John Allen, Brian Franz, and Hard Charging Beau Davis were finding their way to the front. Angel Munoz made his presence felt consistently, battling in the top 5. The battle for the top spot was epic as Brent Fielder challenged Reimer lap after lap, and as they made it to lap traffic, Fielder made his move but made contact with a lap car that spun and “flat stanley’d” John Allen, ending his charge through the field early. Jayce retook the top spot and darted back to the lead with 6 laps remaining. Fielder sent it in turn 3, trying anything he could to get the win, but missed the cushion, slamming the wall and ending his night. Now with 4 laps remaining in single-file format, Jayce parked it in victory lane while Beau Davis went up 18 spots for 2nd, Angel Muñoz 3rd, HOF-amer Brian Franz 4th, and Big Race Clint Smith 5th. Wow, what a race!!

*Double Down: Up next was the Wickham Heating and Air Conditioning Mini stocks. You had to be there, but over at the Hummer on Friday the 33rd of Karson Keeler, who to this point barely made it 10 laps in a row all year as he was battling the gremlins, finally put it all together and in amazing fashion on a last-lap last-corner pass pulled off his first victory in the class at the Freedom 50 (laps), taking the $500 along with it. The Double came to him, winning his second night in a row as he battled with the Justin Esparza car and Korey Bice, who both lost the handle briefly each spinning, and Kaaaaaarrrrson Keeler went on to victory lane. Dane Headrick 2nd, the veteran Ken Hapy 3rd, and Dakota Longpine 4th.

*BOM 2 step: Alternative Pest Management USRA Mods were the night cap. This week we’re selected for the 2 Twisted Productions Bat Race Redraw. Watching Tyler Davis get out to a dizzy lead only to be clipped at the line by Tad Davis to nab the pole. At the drop of the green flag outside row starting Hollywood, Tyler Davis found the front, but it wouldn’t take long for Paden Phillips to take his shot and drive hard into turns 3-4 getting to the inside but it wouldn’t hold up as he slipped back and battled with Tad Davis and Dan Powers for a top 5 spot. With the track starting to fade away, it was Tad Davis battling with Tyler Davis until lap 15 when the fastest car on the speedway was the 4 of Dan Powers. Dan got around Tad but showed his hand a bit too early allowing Tyler Davis to change up his entry to block Dan but still handed BOM (Black Out Motorsports) 2 steps into victory lane finishing 1st and 2nd. 3rd would be Ryan McAninch, 4th to Justin Franz and the always consistent Kirby Robe rounding out the top 5 on the night.

We thank you fans ice or no ice, we thank all of the racers, crews, and track help. See ya at the races!
