Kaleb Johnson Set for Season Debut This Weekend During World of Outlaws Races in Oklahoma and Kansas

Inside Line Promotions – SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (March 25, 2025) – Kaleb Johnson is itching to hit the track in what is shaping up to be the biggest season of his racing career.

Johnson and Team DGRD will join the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this Friday at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., during the Sooner State Showdown and Saturday at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., during the Wichita Sprint Car Showdown.

“It’s a week earlier than we planned to start the season, but we’re ready and you never know what the weather is going to do in April,” Johnson said. “We at least want to get some laps before we get into the swing of things.”

This weekend’s races will mark Johnson’s first time competing at both dirt tracks.

“For me, I think a good goal is to knock the rust off, try to make both features and see how we stack up,” he said. “It’ll be tough with those guys having 12 races under their belt already. I have to adapt quickly and hopefully we’ll have a smooth weekend.”

Johnson and Team DGRD plan to compete in roughly 75 sprint car races this season with nearly half of those being national events with either the World of Outlaws or Kubota High Limit Racing. The only points racing the team is focused on will be at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, and at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.

“I’m grateful to Dennis and Betty Gainey for the opportunity and excited to get the season underway,” Johnson said. “We’re using some of these World of Outlaws races in the Midwest to get up to speed before the Knoxville and Huset’s seasons begin. It will give us a good opportunity to work toward getting everything dialed in before we have to be concerned with any points races.”
