*Although back in November when we scheduled this race we had no idea that it was going to be in the low 50’s, We did know that Race teams, and fans would be thirsty for some racing action so we rolled the dice. The event would not have been possible without the ongoing support of our great sponsors. Thank you to Logan’s Landscape and tree service, Russell called up and said let’s make this happen! Call him for any of your lawn and landscaping needs at 316-390-8725.
*A week later longtime Speedway supporters “The Stoners” (Kevin) in this case wanted to be a part of the show as well with Treasure Hunt Estate sales! Thank you!!
*With a new starting line-up rule in effect, several teams spent the night in the parking lot with a campfire going and having a ball, really takes racing back to what it is meant to be a family, fun, hobby !!! Now down to race time, 50! Yes FIFTY Enduro cars checked in and were lined up pretty efficiently, right on “HeimTime” 2:00pm in this case the Anthem played and then Flagman Joey T, dropped the green and off they went. Off to an early and dominating lead Heavy Hearted Kenny Arrington and gasser Robert Foster looked poised to run away and hide with the trophy. (Godspeed brother) IYKYK. After a mid race Red, yes red there are not any yellows in our Enduros to keep the action going and creates an interesting challenge along the way, Kenny’s car would not restart ending their chances. The battle ensued with Nathan “bridesmaid” Brownell nabbing the top spot and was cruising again towards a victory. Zach Traylor was running him down with 10 laps remaining, the gap was getting closer, Brownell was glued to the tires and the Traylor car used a little door on door romance to get by with 2 to go! The race was so good and a blast to watch! 4 cars all on the lead lap after 100 total laps!! I challenge you pure race fans to get out and support these guys, and give the racing a chance. Thank you to all the workers, the fans , the complete team for making this a success. Special Thanks to KS for helping behind the scenes get the event going.
