*On a night when all six divisions rolled in along with the Kansas Antique Racers , Logan’s Landscape and tree service laid out a big bonus for all divisions. If any driver that redrew the pole for the A-feature would start 6th instead and win from that spot would each garner an additional $500!!! Unfortunately All 6 stayed at the point (not one of them that started on the pole went on to win) and did not try for the Logan’s Landscape Bonus.
*It is a pleasure to see the KAR back in action, many reliving their glory days and some still racing like they were many years ago. They always put on a show and so fun to see Rick England still gassing it up down the straightaways.
*We got the night started with the TM Fencing LLC Super Stocks, or do I mean slippery stocks….. With Jake, John and the crew doing a total track prep session right before they took the green flag it made the first few laps a bit exciting as they all held on trying to get a grip on the surface. After a couple of rough starts, the track improved rapidly which allowed Jerrod Reimer to bolt to the front. In Chase was Chris Eveland, but succumbed to early mechanical failure. With a bumper cover falling on the frontstretch, a debris caution was called that may have saved Reimer’s night because right after that he slid thru the slick making contact and spinning out a car and would of been put to the rear. At the scales first still was the “Wild Child” Jerrod Reimer for the win. JD Eveland 2nd, Jerry Eveland 3rd.
*Allied Battery stock cars came in hot, with so many cars and 15 or more that could win on any given night they wasted no time getting into the action. Early on Champion Jayce Reimer led, only giving it up with what appeared to be a small mechanical issue. That left Bad Beau Davis licking his chops as he found the bottom groove coming in and took command of the show. Scott Miller home in 2nd and New in a stock car this season Jacob Ellison for 3rd . This class continues to be the best in the state and leaves us anticipating the next race.
*#SLOTKINGCHRIS from Wichita Tire and Alignment putting up a GIANT championship purse for the Alternative Pest Management USRA mods that hustled in 23 starters in the A-main. Early on Troy Gemmill was on the prowl for a win, but soon was battling with Dakota Sproul and FHC driver Dan Powers. As the track showed 3 lines to choose from, it was Hollywood Tyler Davis getting a two-for-one and diving into the lead with 10 laps to go. No Yellow Flew for this one, and Dan Powers was hustling to catch the 65 of TD with Wyatt Gaggero in tow. At the checkers Hollywood Tyler Davis wins, Dan Powers 2nd making it a BOM Top 2 kind of night. Wyatt Gaggero 3rd, and Dakota Sproul 4th. Tune in for this one as the points remain locked up tight for the $5,000 prize.
*Poorman Auto Supply USRA B mods have been ultra competitive so far this year, and this past Saturday did not disappoint. These guys went at it from the drop of the green flag. Tyler Kidwell wasted zero time and blasted around the top 2 on the first lap taking the lead. He was challenged a few times but without a caution it was his navigation of lap traffic that made the difference. Travis Johnson 2nd , Last year’s champ Slade Mohr 3rd and good to see LPR Josh Lanterman in 4th , and up six spots for K.C. Mullin for 5th.
*Mini stock/tuner class brought to you by Wickham Heating & Air Conditioning shows how small can be mighty. A new winner in David Bice was elated in Logan’s Landscape victory lane while celebrating in O’Reilly Auto Parts winners circle. He held off multiple attempts to steal his night to secure that first “W”. Finishing 2nd 2 weeks in a row was “Lulu” Karson Keeler, Justin Esparza 3rd, Drake Jaeger 4th, and Christopher Clark 5th.
*For the night cap, The JLR Property Management 316 Modifieds pulled out on the multi-lane racing surface. Maybe it was the new power plant but a front row car stacked up the field on the initial green causing several cars to head to the pits early. When they got the lineup fixed up, it was James Weve and Ryan McAninch battling up front. At the halfway point it was Justin Franz in the familiar 86 colors sneaking around the bottom in what looked liked the classic “Franz Line”
to challenge for the lead but slipped the grip and spun before he could make his move. At the Checkers McAninch gets another win on the season, Cooper Weis 2nd, Justin Franz back up to 3rd, James Weve 4th, and the 020 of Fred Freeman in at 5th.
*Thank you staff, thanks to the best medical team in the country! Thank you Track Prep team, Jake, John, Gene, Mike, and Lindamood your efforts did not go unnoticed. Most of all thank you Fans, Drivers, all of the supporters and even the Haters! We Couldn’t do this without you all. Until next time…..
